Social Marketing for Social Inclusion: the SIM project This successful partnership between academia, public organisations, and ESMA focused on using social marketing to help mid-stream professionals improve social inclusion of people with disabilities. SIM was financed by the European Commission’s Erasmus + Programme (grant ID 2019-1-PT01-KA204-060716) with the aim of supporting Member State's commitments and efforts to promote Social Inclusion and extending and developing the competences of professionals. Social Marketing Associations endorsed ethics statement The International Social Marketing Association (iSMA) adopted this Social Marketing Statement of Ethics to support the ethical conduct of social marketing professionals, including practitioners, scholars and students, in all areas of their professional activities. The statement has been endorsed by regional associations: ESMA, AASM, SMANA and LAMSO. Demand Creation for COVID-19 Vaccination Overcoming Vaccine Hesitancy through Social Marketing A timely paper on using social marketing to generate vaccine demand and fight vaccine hesitancy. The authors, experienced social marketers, Prof William Douglas Evans and Prof Jeff French focus on key elements including supply side confidence, vaccine brand promotion strategy, service marketing as it relates to vaccine distribution, and competition strategy. UK National Occupational Standards for Social Marketing Practice (updated) The National Occupational Standards system in the UK is a government supported process for setting out what knowledge and skills professionals working in Social Marketing should be able to demonstrate.
