For the first time, a Portuguese academic journal has published a special issue devoted entirely to Social Marketing and its dimensions. Revista de Gestão dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (Journal of Management of Portuguese-Speaking Countries), Vol. 3, September-December 2017 was published by the University Institute of Lisbon. The issue features the work of participants from five countries, three continents and eight prestigious universities including authors such as Jeff French, Stephan Dahl, Lynne Eagle, José Mazzon, the pioneer of Social Marketing in Brazil, as well as Hamilton Carvalho, Marco Cruz Morato, Antonio Lizana, Josefa Mestanza, Diogo Veríssimo and Carlos Oliveira Santos, as author and guest editor.

We welcome this publication as a valuable contribution to make social marketing scholarship more accessible across languages and cultures. With approximately 260 million total speakers, Portuguese is usually listed as the fifth most natively spoken language in the world.

This special issue will be online soon on the journal’s website
